| GYMNASTICS
is a great sport to prepare your child for a LIFETIME
of athletics. While learning basic gymnastic skills, children
are taught body control and coordination. Body awareness and control
are skills that will be used for the rest of their lives in any type
of sport they choose, or even just playground play. By learning individual
skills your child will also learn the concept of goal setting and
will learn to work toward obtaining their goals. They will learn
SELF CONFIDENCE through their
ACCOMPLISHMENTS! |

| DID
YOU KNOW ? |
Kids that
are active in physical play are found to be better in school than
non-active kids. Kids involved in athletics are 35% more likely to
go to college and finish. |

TINY
TOTS:
Our tiny tots class is for boys and girls ages 1 turning 2. Your child
must be 1 before December 1st of the registration year (our year begins
in September and ends in August). The Tiny Tot area will be set-up
with lots of fun and challenging stations for you to lead your child
through. The activities are designed to help build your child's gross
motor skills, body control, and physical problem solving skills.
|
We
do lots of fun gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, travel thru
tunnels, up hills, across ladders, hanging from the bars and rings,
swinging on the rope and the most favorite station of all —
jumping on the trampoline!! Your instructor will explain the activities
for the day, and then help you at the different stations to challenge
your child. The set-up changes each week to keep things new and
inviting for your busy toddler.

TODDLER
GYM:
The Toddler gym class is for ages 2 turning 3. Your child must be
2 before December 1st of the registration year (our year begins in
September and ends in August). We set-up age and size appropriate
stations for the kids to go through. We work basic gymnastics skills
with the children to help them with their overall coordination and body
control. |
Through
our CREATIVE SET-UPS
your child will learn baby-cartwheels, forward rolls, handstands,
bar skills, and balance. Later in the year we will start teaching
the children the concept of taking turns and listening to directions
from the teacher — a skill they will need in non-parent assisted
classes. COLORFUL
equipment, fun activities, and UPBEAT
MUSIC keep the kids engaged and interested in LEARNING.

MINI
GYM:
This class is for ages 3 turning 4. Your child must be 3 before December
1st of the registration year (our year begins in September and ends
in August). The Mini gym class is without a parent. The first
few weeks of class we get the kids used to the gym and the way the circuits
are set-up. We consider "following
the path" the first skill that the kids will
learn. Throughout the session the kids will go to two events per week,
and EVERY TWO WEEKS
the lesson plan will change so that the gym remains NEW
and EXCITING for the gymnasts. |
The four events that the kids
will go to are: Floor (tumbling), Bars, Balance Beam, and Vault
(horse). We will work basic gymnastics skills at each event including—but
of course not limited to: forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, basic balancing skills, squat ons, and front
supports. We use lots of visual cues and PROGRESSIONARY
EQUIPMENT to help the kids remember the skills to
do on the path.

NURSERY
GYM:
This class is for ages 4 turning 5. Your child must be 4 before December
1st of the registration year (our year begins in September and ends
in August). Throughout the session the kids will go to two events
per week, and EVERY TWO WEEKS the lesson
plan will change so that the gym remains NEW
and EXCITING for the gymnasts. The four
events that the kids will go to are: Floor (tumbling), Bars, Balance
Beam, and Vault (horse). We will have challenging circuits set-up
at each event that will incorporate the different gymnastics skills.
|
Each event is set-up to break-down
the skills. So that the gymnasts can practice on their own,
with the more difficult skills assisted by the instructor. The class
is set-up in a CIRCUIT to keep the KIDS
MOVING and active during the class, instead of waiting in
lines for the teacher to help each child one by one. We focus on
teaching the kids the correct way of doing the skills on each event,
while still keeping the overall feel of the CLASS
FUN!!

And of course our
entire Preschool Program uses our many
